Bless These Hands

Each year, I’m fortunate to be invited to an event called “Queen for a Day”. Local women from several churches work together to pamper caregivers and provide fellowship and support. Good News!

Labor Day weekend seems so long ago, mostly because it was.  That weekend, Michael developed a sore.  A sore that within days went down to the bone.  While we were busy taking measurements and pictures, he was put on strict bed rest.  Michael was only allowed out of his bed twice each day, one hour each time.  This made doing just about anything with him difficult.  Church, Katie’s field hockey games, Chris’ concerts, a trip to the store. Dear ICA 4th Grade Class, Yesterday we opened our mailbox to find it FILLED with valentines from your 4th grade class at Immaculate Conception Academy.  Our family doesn’t know your teacher or any of the students in this classroom, yet you were thinking of Mikey.   Our family was so touched that a class and their teacher took the time to send valentines to our Mikey.  We can see that many of you hand-wrote your valentines.  Some were even made totally by YOU!  Your kindness is absolutely appreciated.  Sending you a great big hug from Mikey and our family!
